How to Use
- Prepare your nixtamamlized corn dough according to the instructions
- Make small dough balls by hand approx 6cm in diameter
- Place a layer of baking paper or freezer bag plastic on both the top and bottom sections of the press
- Place the ball of dough in the centre of the plate and press down with the leaver (the thinner the tortilla the quicker it will cook)
- Open the press and lift the flat tortilla with the paper or plastic film, pealing the raw flat tortilla carefully and placing it on a hot non-stick pan
- Cook the tortilla about 20 seconds on the first side, then flip and cook on the oposite side for a similar time and flip back again one last time untill you see the tortilla inflate.
- Once cooked, place tortilla in your Tortilla Warmer or a folded dry tea towell or tortillero and cool for a few minutes before serving.
